Jeff Neely
Jeff Neely is the founder and a Managing Partner of the Atlantis Group, where his primary focus is on Scenario Based Strategic Planning—the firm’s “high-level” consulting service – and Dynamic Portfolio Management. He leads most of the firm’s worldwide engagements, challenging executive management of global corporations such as Johnson & Johnson, Parke Davis, Merck, SmithKline Beecham, Janssen, Pfizer Adams, GlaxoSmithKline, Warner Lambert, and Cilag to re-evaluate their fundamental business models and planning processes. His provocative approach balances established and emerging theory with practical business consequences and concrete next steps. The result is a significant return for clients, many of whom engage the Atlantis Group repeatedly to effect change throughout their organizations.
Neely offers a rare depth and breadth of management and consulting experience that encompasses North and South America, Europe, Japan and Africa. Prior to The Atlantis Group, Mr. Neely worked for Barclays Bank in South Africa. He went on to hold top-level positions in healthcare sales, marketing, country company management, international management and worldwide category management. His notable accomplishments include directing the turnaround of a core business in Europe and managing the company through an overhead reduction of 30%, while at the same time igniting profitable sales growth momentum. He was involved in the development of start-up ventures in both Russia and China, and in pioneering Johnson & Johnson’s Global Franchise Management program.
Neely’s unique combination of proven expertise and forward thinking have made him a highly-sought expert on Global Corporate Strategy. He has been invited to address numerous groups throughout the world and has presented at several international business conferences, including the keynote address at the European OTC Conference in Austria. Kathy Beaudoin
Since 1999 Kathy has utilized her extensive healthcare marketing and sales experience to bring a broad perspective to the analysis and creation of strategic business solutions for Atlantis Group clients. She has worked with the senior management teams of many Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies, as well as consumer companies and government agencies, including the NIH. Kathy’s serves as The Atlantis Group’s subject matter expert on pharmaceutical client projects including; Industry/Competitor Analysis, Scenario-Based Strategic Planning and R&D Project Portfolio Management.
Kathy has 23 years of pharmaceutical industry experience; 17 with Merck & Co. Inc, and six in consulting. During Kathy’s time with Merck, she held senior management positions in both marketing and sales. Her most recent corporate position was Senior Director of New Products Management with Merck where she led the launch team for Fosamax, a break-through product for the treatment of osteoporosis. She also co-lead the launch team for Mevacor (a breakthrough treatment for hypercholesterolemia), and managed an in-line product, generating 18% growth despite significant generic competition. She has managed extended marketing and sales teams and cumulative promotional budgets in excess of $100 million. Overall, she has participated in the launch, sales and marketing of 14 pharmaceutical products. Additionally, she negotiated and helped structure the co-promotional agreements between Wyeth/Ayerst and Merck, and created partnering agreements with key advocacy groups and the NIH.
Kathy is a member of the American Management Association, the Healthcare Business Woman’s Association, and has lectured on product lifecycle management and various other pharmaceutical topics.
